The surgical area will likely require a small number of sutures. The length of the procedure depends on the number of crowns being treated. If you are undergoing crown lengthening to prepare for a restoration, your permanent crown will be placed a few weeks following the procedure.
WILL I NEED TO FOLLOW ANY SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS AFTER A CROWN LENGTHENING TREATMENT?
Although the surgery itself should not be uncomfortable, you may experience some soreness in the few days immediately following the procedure. Instructions and needed supplies are provided following surgery. Dr. Amid may prescribe pain medication as well as antibiotics to ensure your recovery is free of complication. Be sure to keep the surgical site clean, and schedule a time to return to the office so that we can check your healing.
