Hello, let's learn a little more about
Extraction.

Extraction

Tooth extractions are routine dental procedures used to remove decayed, damaged, or otherwise problematic teeth.  Dentists usually make the effort to preserve natural teeth, although sometimes an extraction is necessary.  Depending on which teeth are removed, they may be replaced with a dental implant or another oral prosthetic.

The loss of a single tooth can lead to problems related to your chewing ability, jaw joint, and shifting teeth, which can have a major impact on your dental health.

During the extraction process you will feel some pressure.  You feel the pressure without pain as the anesthetic has numbed the nerves stopping the transference of pain, yet the nerves that transmit pressure are not profoundly affected.

Sectioning a tooth: Some teeth require sectioning.  This is a very common procedure done when a tooth is so firmly anchored in its socket or the root is curved and the socket can’t expand enough to remove it.  The dentist simply cuts the tooth into section then removes each section one at a time.
